Distributed energy storage

Distributed energy storages are integrated systems including equipment generating electricity (e.g. PV panels), power grid, and energy storage connecting this equipment with consumers. This entire process is executed using software that quickly associates sources of energy belonging to various owners with a dispatching centre.

Virtual power plant – application

Distributed storage, also known as virtual power plants, is used in practice in such situations as instantaneous grid overload or limited energy supply. In these cases, it is possible to distribute energy from energy storage connected under a single distributed system based on estimations of current reserves and demand. This means ensuring energy security and simultaneous optimisation of consumption of energy from diverse sources (including RSE).
